  • Sign to a new Canadian commercial production company.
  • Make my short film.
  • Finish my photobook project to showcase a more “art driven” side of my new career orientation. (this is already 85% completed, and projects like these help narrative managers / producers see you as an “artist”)
  • Complete a thorough outline on 2 long form projects (second feature / TV pilot)
  • Finish the year with a first draft of 1 feature film.
  • Be in talks with potential narrative management in the US.
  • Redesign my website to reflect a more narrative focused career orientation.

  • Complete the short and release it to a wide festival run.
  • Lock in US based narrative management off the successful completion of the short and with the draft of my feature.
  • Continue re-writing and perfecting the draft of my first feature, begin outlining a second long form project.
  • Book at least one large commercial job. ($1 million+ budget)
  • Be in talks for US commercial representation.
  • Begin process of obtaining an O1 Visa for the US.

  • Lock in the script for my first feature and begin prep work to secure financing. Casting, location scouting, finding the right producer with the aid of my narrative management.
  • Continue to book larger scale commercial work in Canada (2-3 big jobs for the year)
  • Obtain an O1 Visa to work in the US through obtaining US commercial representation
  • Finish a working draft for my second long term project.
  • Possibly complete one “micro” project that helps sell the feature script to potential producers
  • Secure funding and a production deal on my first feature by the end of the year.

  • Be absolutely consumed in all aspects of making my first feature. Prep, production, post-production, everything.
  • Narrative management makes progress on what’s next after the feature, likely using the working draft of the next long-term project I finished in the previous year.

  • Release and distribute my first feature, to critical acclaim.
  • Attend all film festivals it plays at in person to network, do press, and show face.
  • Get back into some commercial work off the back of the feature release, ideally in the US for the first time, and restart momentum in the Canadian market.
  • Begin drafting a new project.
  • Lock in a production deal for what’s next...
